Tenement House

 Civil and military monument
  The Michelin Guide's review
This rust-coloured sandstone building, built in 1892 on a hillside, is a typical tenement: three-storey buildings constructed in a bid to check the housing crisis. Visitors can look around a faithfully restored middle-class apartment on the first floor. It was occupied from 1911 to 1965 by a shorthand typist, Agnes Toward; it is quite spacious and fitted out with domestic equipment from the early 20C.
