The Michelin Guide's review
Blanket Bay and its sublime beach, that are relatively sheltered from the force of the waves, once served as the point of supply for Cape Otway Lighthouse. As its name suggests, it is said to have been used as a place to bed down for the night as early as the 19C. The site remains one of the loveliest bivouac sites in Great Otway National Park only two minutes from the beach.
