Description
While the museum's main focus is on modern art, in particular French artists (Monet, Gauguin, Cézanne, Van Gogh), medieval sculptures, Swiss and German primitives (15C) and the Dutch Golden Age also enjoy a prominent place. However, it also boasts a section on the masters of Pop Art, Rothko and Pollock, but also Munch and Alberto Giacometti. The museum's extension, which should finish in 2020, will host two new private collections, among which the legendary Bührle collection.
