The Michelin Guide's review
Wroclaw's greatest Baroque ensemble was initially a Jesuit school, established in 1670. From 1811, the Prussian authorities assumed control of the university, founded in 1702 by Leopold I; the Baroque building was built from 1728 to 1742. Visit the Oratorium Marianum, which holds regular concerts, while the Longchamps hall has an exhibition devoted to the history of the university and the Jesuit college. The 18C Aula Leopoldina is embellished with cherubs, gilding and portraits.
