The Michelin Guide's review
This chapel occupies the site of the Jesuit Mission of 1697. The present structure (1865) was erected on the site of an earlier church (1730) that was destroyed by fire in 1862. The very simple interior includes a high altar tabernacle believed to have been made in 1722 by Noël Levasseur. Above the altar, a simple sculpture represents the Santa Casa of Loreto in Italy, supported by two angels. In the vestry are religious furnishings left behind by the Jesuit missionaries.
