Description
The latest addition to the Viking Triangle, after Reginald's Tower and the Bishop's Palace, this third cultural site is a contemporary building designed around the 13C Chorister's Hall. The museum complements the archaeological collections with its focus on medieval history between the Viking and Georgian periods and is home to a number of rare manuscripts (notably a 4m-long illuminated scroll dating from 1372) and some precious gold-threaded costumes from the 15C.
