Reopened in 2017 after several years of restoration, this admirable museum comprises 11 amazing ancient edifices spread over six floors. Its innovative museum layout is designed to enable visitors to progress at their own pace. Devoted to Warsaw, the museum charts its history through the objects (over 7,000 divided into themes) and daily lives of its inhabitants. Rather than tactile screens, visitors are invited to pull open drawers and peep through little windows. A tiny tower commands a splendid vista of the city.
