The Michelin Guide's review
St John's Cathedral is the oldest church in the Polish capital. Built in the early 14C in the Gothic style, it houses the Renaissance tombs of the last Mazovian princes, and a crucifix dating from the 16C. Its crypt contains the bodies of famous Poles, such as writer Henryk Sienkiewicz, the first Polish president, Gabriel Narutowicz, the Primate of Poland, Wyszyński, and pianist Ignacy Paderewski.
