The Michelin Guide's review
The Rynek of the New Town is as peaceful as that of the Old Town is lively. The former was once graced by a town hall that was destroyed in the 19C and the spot is now the site of a wrought-iron well crowned by a maiden and a unicorn, emblems of the New Town. Further on, look out for two statues of bears keeping watch over the benches. On the east side, admire the Baroque church of the Blessed Sacrament, commissioned by Marie Sobieska.
