The Michelin Guide's review
Dunakanyar is the word Hungarians use to label the magnificent Danube bend between Esztergom and the Slovak border, where it "turns" southwards towards Budapest. Skirting the right bank out of Budapest, the road crosses Obuda then passes the Roman ruins at Aquincum. It continues towards Szentendre, then Visegrád, where the view over the bend is most spectacular, and as far as Esztergom. The return trip to Budapest follows the left bank, dotted with the former houses of noble lords and ladies.
