The Michelin Guide's review
Pomacocha, a ceremonial centre contains some interesting vestiges, is built on a hillside, opposite a lake. The best-preserved Intihuatana (sun observatory) is erected on a torreón, a large semicircular construction. Further on are the vestiges of a acclahuasi and an Incan palace. The complex is isolated from the lake by a remarkable retention wall that serves as a terrace or parapet and is no less than 1 500m long.
