The Michelin Guide's review
Converted into a lapidary museum in 1872, the former church of St Peter's dates from the 5C. Often used as a mortuary basilica, the bishops of Vienne are buried here. Among its most important pieces look out for the statue of Venus crouching down and the statue of an Apollo archer, a collection of amphorae and oscilla (ritual disks) and the frieze of the original pulpitum of the Roman theatre.
