The Michelin Guide's review
The fine Baroque façade (17C) of San Stae overlooks the Grand Canal. With its large windows and white-painted walls, the single-nave interior of the church is full of light. The presbytery houses a collection of paintings by twelve pupils who worked with some of the best artists of the 17C and 18C, including The Liberation of St Peter by Sebastiano Ricci.
