The Michelin Guide's review
Constructed in the 13C as a warehouse and headquarters for German merchants (hence "Tedeschi", the Italian word for German), this building was destroyed by fire in 1505 and rebuilt by Spavento and Scarpagnino. Its façade facing the Grand Canal was once decorated with frescoes by Giorgione and Titian. In 2016, architect Rem Koolhaas converted the building into a luxury department store.
