The Michelin Guide's review
This Scuola is dedicated to St Rocco (St Roch), patron saint of the sick and plague-stricken. The confraternity, devoted to the fight against the plague, grew in numbers over the years and is still active today. It is now the richest of Venice's scuole and its fine interior, decorated with marble and Baroque wood panelling, is home to numerous works of art, including a fine collection of works by Tintoretto painted between 1564 and 1587, as well as superb paintings by other grand masters.
