Situated on the first floor of the Correr Museum, the Archaeological Museum houses a rich collection of Ancient artefacts bequeathed to the city by the Grimani family in the 16C. The museum's highlights include the Grimani Greek statues (5C-4C BC) and the precious Samagher reliquary, an exquisite early Christian piece in ivory (5C) discovered in Pula, in Croatia.
