The Michelin Guide's review
We owe the Procuratie Nuove, which was the second seat of Venice's Procurators, or Magistrates, to Scamozzi (1552-1616). His colleague Longhena (1598-1682) was entrusted with finishing the construction in the first half of the 17C, on the site of the Orseolo hospice. The building now houses part of the Museo Correr, which takes visitors on a journey through the history of Venice.
