The Michelin Guide's review
The Giorgio Cini foundation, which supports cultural initiatives relating to Venetian culture, is housed in a former Benedictine monastery. The visit includes the building's two cloisters, the huge Teatro verde (an open-air theatre), and, of particular interest, the libraries. The old library, built between 1641 and 1653, is decorated with fine shelving, wooden statues and a magnificent decorated ceiling. The modern library, modified in 2009, is striking for its impressive size and natural light.
