The Michelin Guide's review
According to tradition, this church was consecrated by Pope Alexander III who came to meet Emperor Frederick Barbarossa in Venice in 1117. Its façade, rebuilt in the 17C by Giuseppe Sardi, is adorned with a cannon ball that logged itself there in 1849. The interior, crowned with three domes, houses many works of art, including The Disciples of Emmaus, which is attributed to Giovanni Bellini and an Annunciation by Titian.
