Palazzo Moro
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This simple and austere 16C palace belonged to a family from Morea in the Peloponnese who produced several doges, among whom one Cristoforo Moro, whose wife died in mysterious circumstances, providing the inspiration for Shakespeare's Othello. It stands on the other bank of the Rio Malpaga, which is also home to the charming Palazzo Stern, whose garden overlooks the Grand Canal.
