The Michelin Guide's review
The name of this square comes from the Breton fights and tournaments which took place here in 1532 to celebrate the union of Brittany with France. Saint Vincent Ferrier came here in 1418 to address the crowds, hence the statue of the saint which adorns one of the houses (with a turret) in the square. A market is held in the square on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings.
