The Michelin Guide's review
Dating from the 17C, except for the belltower, which is from an earlier edifice, the church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption is one of the most lavishly decorated sanctuaries of Savoie. To the left of the master altar's gold-leaf, wooden Baroque altarpiece stand the statue of St Peter and to the right that of Saint Thecla. The chancel vault is adorned with plaster gypseries. Above the sacristy door, the Calvary (1609) is said to be a reproduction of the Christ by Albrecht Dürer.
