The Michelin Guide's review
This fine arts museum covers the extensive period from the Middle Ages to the 20C. Although it contains a fine collection of works from the Golden Age, notably by El Greco and Velásquez, its main attraction is its collection of primitives. A number of altarpieces highlight the vitality of the Valencian School in the 15C, with works by Jacomart, Reixach, Osona the Elder and Osona the Younger. The Renaissance is represented by Macip, Fernando de Llanos and Yáñez de la Almedina, among others.
