Casa di Raffaelo (House of Raphael)
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Until he was 14 years old, the artist Raphael lived in this 15C house which belonged to his father, Giovanni Sanzio or Santi, a renowned painter, whose studio was situated on the ground floor. Various objects and furniture of the period create the atmosphere of a Renaissance house. In the living room on the first floor, note the Annunciation by Giovanni Santi and, on one of the walls in the bedroom where Raphael was born, a fresco of the Madonna and Child, attributed to the young Raphael.
