The Michelin Guide's review
The Eco-Museum of Alsace, France's largest open-air museum, was inspired by the desire to preserve houses from the 15C to the 19C, bound for destruction. They were painstakingly taken down and rebuilt here. The museum has since broadened its horizons to include 19C and 20C architecture. The village boasts roads, shops, a station and a school set on 15ha of land. It is home to 75 buildings and over 40,000 objects, a cultural legacy of the region. Discover the workshops and shows put on by craftsmen and women.
