Parc Archéologique des Roches-Gravées
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The archaeological park invites visitors to go back to the first settlers of Guadeloupe, at the beginning of our era. The ways of life that preceded the arrival of Europeans on the island remain little known, the vestiges found on the site remain difficult to interpret. Amidst lush vegetation, the 1ha park is the site of rocks bearing carvings depicting human and animal forms. Dated to the 4C, they are the work of Arawak Indians.
