Mackenzie House
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This 19C brick house, with its four chimneys and single dormer, was the last home of William Lyon Mackenzie. Rooms on the three floors have been restored in the style of the 1850s. In the modern annexe at the rear, a small display chronicles Mackenzie's life and times, and a replica of his print shop includes a hand-operated flatbed press on which copies of his Colonial Advocate were printed (demonstrations).
