The Michelin Guide's review
A masterpiece by Raymond Moriyama, this massive brick and glass building contains Canada's most extensive public library (nearly 1.5 million volumes). The five-storey structure features tiered balconies, bordered by solid undulating balustrades. The top floor is devoted to the Arthur Conan Doyle Collection, with the famed Sherlock Holmes stories, Sherlockian criticism, Doyle's autobiography, historical novels, etc. The furnishings and mementoes seek to suggest the presence of the detective.
