Hidden behind the arcades of Piazza Castello, this prestigious theatre, inaugurated in 1740 and badly damaged by bombing during World War II, reopened its doors in 1973. Even if you don't have time to go to the opera here, it's worth stopping to admire the Musical Odyssey, the gate designed by Umberto Mastroianni which marks the entrance to the theatre.
