The Michelin Guide's review
There is something desolate, almost lunar, about this arid landscape, reminiscent of the Wild West with its many bare hills. The setting provided the perfect backdrop for the many Spaghetti Westerns filmed here in the 1960s and 1970s, including The Price of Death, A Fistful of Dollars, They Call Me Trinity, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly... and even, in a completely different genre, a few scenes from Lawrence of Arabia.
