Description

August Strindberg (1849-1912) is own of Sweden's greatest playwrights. His apartment-museum is one of the rare testimonies to the district's intellectual past, where cafés and press agencies stood side by side until its demolition in the 1950s and 1960s. Barely recognised at the time in his own country, Strindberg spent the last few years of his life in this modest accommodation, where he is said to have written twenty or so works.
