The Michelin Guide's review
The necropolis of Sweden's monarchs, who have been buried here in Riddarholmskyrkan since the 17C, is also the only medieval monastery to have stood the test of time. It was consecrated around 1300. Over the centuries, several chapels have been added to the main building, but the cast iron spire was only erected after the great fire of 1835. Today it is one of the emblems of the city.
