Description

When an underground car park was being built, excavations revealed sections of a wall built in 1530 by Gustav Hasa, as well as older remains. The decision was then taken to build the Medieval Museum on the site. Its attractive displays retrace the history of the city from its origins to the end of the Middle Ages. A sculpture by Carl Milles, The Sun Minstrel, created in 1926, stands in front of the entrance.
