The Michelin Guide's review
Moskovsky Prospekt, or Moscow Avenue, was, from the time of Peter the Great, a strategic axis, linking the old and new capitals. Today, the road leading to the airport is a potted history of architecture. Between Moscow's triumphal arch and Victory Square, the geometrical forms of the Constructivism of the 1920s, the Stalinist buildings of the 1950s and the typical buildings of the 1960s come thick and fast.
