Housed in an old merchant's house abutting 18C warehouses, the Jersey Museum has painstakingly reconstructed the interior of a mid-19C merchant's home. On the first floor, the contemporary museography takes visitors on a voyage of discovery of all aspects of the island's past. On the second floor, the Barreau Le Maistre Art Gallery presents paintings, drawings and watercolours by local artists.
