The Michelin Guide's review
St-Antoine-l'Abbaye abbey houses the precious relics of Egyptian-born Saint Antony the Great, who, in the 3C, was the first monk and hermit of the history of Christianity. In addition to the religious buildings and the museum, you can visit the abbey church through a handsome central door to find remarkable pieces, including several chapels adorned with 15C and 17C frescoes. The chancel is adorned with eight Aubusson tapestries (17C). Finally, the treasury boasts a splendid ivory Christ (33cm high).
