At the foot of Notre Dame de Lorette hill, this museum chronicles the First World War in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais areas. In the black concrete cube designed by architect Pierre-Louis Faloci, huge photographs, period films and a few artefacts are exhibited according to an itinerary that is at once chronological and theme-based: manoeuvre war and the trenches, deadly offensives and the occupation of the North, the ruins and the great reconstruction and so on.
