The Michelin Guide's review
The different edifices adjacent to the fortified church house a permanent exhibition devoted to the history of Valais. Sacred and popular religious art (sculptures, gold work, pictures) alternates with objects from daily life (furniture) and military life (weaponry, armour). A section is devoted to Valais today, its recent changes and its future. The rooms are small and intimate and enable the visitor to admire the objects close up. Neolithic remains, Gallo-Roman amphorae and Greek ceramics complete the collections.
