Park Hotel
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Located to the north of the People's Park, Nanjing Lu traces a curving path along the site of the former racetrack. Halfway along the street, the Park Hotel (1933) remains one of the most elegant buildings in Shanghai, despite its small size by the city's modern standards (23 floors, 86m in height). Its varnished brown brick pyramidal construction, by the Hungarian architect, Ladislav Hudec, dominated the city's skyline until the early 1980s.
