Metropol Parasol
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Since 2001, Plaza de la Encarnación has been home to an astonishing construction built entirely of wood designed by Jürgen Mayer-Hermann. This sinuous structure measures 150m by 70m and stands 26m tall, making it the world's largest wooden structure. Beneath its famous parasols you'll find a public market, bars and restaurants, while a panoramic walkway and museum shine light on the archaeological remains which were uncovered during its construction.
