The Michelin Guide's review
The second largest Nuragic site after Su Nuraxi de Barumini, this showpiece of proto-Sardinian architecture dominates from a height of 18m. Solemnity and power characterise this labyrinthine complex made up of a fortress with a central tower at the heart of a trilobed bastion. Note the helical stairway and upper bedroom, where the thirty or so rows of stones simply laid on top of each other confirm the talent of the builder of this ancient civilisation.
