The Michelin Guide's review
The 12C church which stood on this site was destroyed in 1504 by Bishop Armand de Gontaut-Biron to make way for a new cathedral, which remained unfinished for nearly a century. Various periods of construction are visible in the present church (16C-17C), which is mainly late Southern Gothic in style with a typically large and plain interior. 18C organs by Lépine can be seen in the organ loft.
