Description
This 15C aristocratic residence mixes Renaissance and Moorish influences and is richly decorated withazujelos. The quinta makes wine from the vines growing in its splendid gardens. An attractive waterside pavilion has its interior walls decorated with Spansh azulejos bearing geometric motifs. Note the Florentine-influenced depiction of Suzannah and the Elders (1565), the oldest example of its kind in Portugal.
