The Michelin Guide's review
Yagul began to take on importance with the decline of Monte Albán around 800 AD. Nestled amidst cactus plants, the site mainly consists of a large platform, the acropolis, on which stand several temples and palace dwellings. It features the largest ball court in the Oaxaca Valley, the Patio de la Tumba Triple giving access to three funerary chambers, and above all thePalacio de los Seis Patios, a maze of walls where the lords lived. Enjoy the view of the Tlacolula Valley.
