Having trained the greatest Russian artists (Briullov, Repin, Shubin), the Academy of Fine Arts has pursued its pedagogical vocation, displaying its students' works in the museum in addition to casts and models of Petersburg's building. Note the allegories of painting, sculpture and architecture on the façade.
