Fisherman's Wharf

The Michelin Guide's review
Fisherman's Wharf, a legacy of San Francisco's former port, is a bustling tourist district that can seem a tad artificial. It is home to several piers with no end of novelty bazaars, restaurants, museums and shopping malls. A lingering aroma of fish soup carries the reminder of the ocean, but genuine fishing boats are few and far between and you will have to get up very early if you want to see them unload their catch.
