The Michelin Guide's review
Housed in the monumental Villa Dijkzigt, which dates from 1851, the Natural History Museum displays stuffed birds and mammals, as well as insects and shells, skeletons and fossils. The adjoining glass pavilion (1995) contains an impressive 15m sperm whale skeleton. The permanent RegioNatuur exhibition provides a pleasant opportunity to get acquainted with the fauna and flora of the Rhine mouth region.
