The Michelin Guide's review
Opened in 1904, the synagogue is dominated by its dome which can be seen from many points in the city; it was built by architects Costa and Armanni in the demolished section of the old ghetto. The building is now home to the Museo Ebraico di Roma (Hebrew Museum) which tells the story of the Jewish community in Rome, as well as housing a display of liturgical items.
