The Michelin Guide's Opinion
The majority of the cathedral dates from the 12C and 13C. The main façade is Norman and its ornamentation shows a strong French influence. After the first six bays of the nave, the building is mainly in the Early English Gothic style. To the north, between the two transepts, is Gundulf's Tower (c 1100) and to the south you can see the ruins of the 12C cloisters.
