The Michelin Guide's review
A UNESCO site, the basilica is the most venerated sanctuary of Reims. The bishop of Reims, Saint Remi, was buried here in 533, at which time it was a chapel devoted to Saint Christopher. The current edifice, built from 1007, has been modified many times, even serving as a barn during the Revolution! Restored in the 19C and 20C, the incredible interior, which is 122m long and only 26m wide, seems endless - accentuated by the sobriety of the architecture.
